At the heart of BiM Square stands the new Bicocca Pavilion, designed by Piuarch an avant-garde architectural landmark that breaks away from the rigidity of the original building. A multifaceted space that fosters interaction among people from different worlds, creating synergies and opportunities for collaboration.
The first floor is home to the Fondazione Bicocca Innovation Hub, created through a collaboration between BiM and the University of Milan–Bicocca. The ground floor is a multifunctional space designed by Paola Navone–Otto Studio, featuring the Pavilion by Fuorimano café-restaurant, as well as flexible areas for work and study and an arena for events, talks, and conferences.
Garden, terraces and rooftops
Respect for the environment and energy efficiency are the founding principles of BiM: set around a 6,000 sqm garden, the building uses renewable energy sources to minimise its environmental impact. The lush and welcoming garden is accessible to everyone and ideal for taking breaks and socialising, while the terraces are a natural extension of the office space. On the eighth floor, the Rooftop Garden overlooks Milan and provides an open-air workspace with an exceptional view of the city. The landscaping design is intended to create an engaging, appealing habitat that supports biodiversity, improving the climatic conditions of the space.
